An original watercolour painting after the artist Edward Seago. Seago was a much admired artist, famous for his effortless oils and watercolours.
However, what looks like a simple watercolour painting is extremely difficult to execute, especially in the manner and style that Seago was able to execute.
It’s a subject that was close to Seago’s heart as he was a keen sailor himself.
This particular painting was one of two watercolours by Edward Seago that I did as part of a watercolour class.
Another one of my favourite paintings by Seago is one he painted titled The Pink House.

However, what looks like a simple watercolour painting of a yacht is extremely difficult to execute, especially in the manner and style that Seago was able to execute.
This particular painting was one of two watercolours that I did as part of a watercolour class which I took in 2014.
Edward Seago
Edwar Seago The son of a coal merchant, Seago was born in Norwich[1] and attended Norwich School. He was a self-taught artist was so popular that those who wished to buy one of his paintings had to queue at his various annual exhibitions around the world (with the single exception of Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother).
