Wadi Bann Habib, Oman Watercolour Prints of Oman | Paintings of Oman – Alan Reed
Paintings of Wadi Bann Habib
Wadi Bann Habib is a deserted village higher up on the green mountains (Jebel Akhdar) which is part of the Al Hajar Mountain range in Oman.
The mud and stone houses have been ravaged and abandoned over the years but this beautiful little hamlet still speaks of the past.
A small sketch book study was the catalyst for this watercolour.

Jebel Akhdar (Green Mountain) in Oman. This Original painting won “The Artist’s Prize” in the Royal Watercolour Society Competition for 2013.
I’ve been a couple of times and made number of sketchbook Studies which can be seen in my reproduction “Sketch Book of Oman“.
Wadi Bani Habib is a wonderful place to explore, especially if you are like me: curious and looking for something new. Here, atop Jebal Akhdar, you will discover the recently abandoned village of Habib, active walnut orchards, and an unused path all to yourself.
