Commission an Artist
I had received a number of commissions for a client in Oman depicting scenes around the Al Hajar Mountain range. I felt it would be important for me to visit this stunning landscape for myself. It was over a two hour drive from Muscat but it was worth it. I painted Jebel Akhdar and the Original painting won “The Artist’s Prize” in the Royal Watercolour Society Competition for 2013. From the hotel it was a privelidge to visit Diana’s Point named after Princess Diana of Wales who visited Jebel Akhdar with Prince Charles in November 1986.

The locals grow pomegranates on the terraces which are watered by an ancient yet efficient irrigation system called Falaj.
