I was working in Florence on painting projects, one of which was painting several street scenes on the spot in one of my Italian hand-made watercolour sketchbook.

History of Florence
The cathedral church is a UNESCO World Heritage site and the dome remains the largest brick dome ever constructed. This studio painting is based on a sketch painted on location in February. Florence. According to tradition, the martyr St. Miniatus, who was suffered during the persecution of Decius in the 3rd century, was buried on the hill where the church bearing his name now stands.
