“Sea” is the 2nd hole at the West Links North Berwick. Golfing scenes like this take me back to my childhood. We had several family holidays at North Berwick and I recall many evenings playing on the putting greens with my dad.
This scene is typical of the sunny blustery summer days we enjoyed back in the 70’s. My dad captures it beautifully, the perfect painting for someone who enjoys playing links golf.

The West Links is a golf course in North Berwick, Scotland, opening in 1832. It is the more renowned of two courses in the town. It has held various championships and has been used as a qualifying venue when The Open Championship has been held at Muirfield (most recently 2013).
The area which is home to the course today is a strip of land adjacent to the beach and extending westward over 2 miles. It starts from the edge of the town centre and goes out to the nature reserve at Yellowcraigs It has been used for golf for at least 400 years.
Other nearby courses include the three at Gullane which my dad has painted.
