Over the years I’ve sold many of my limited edition prints as graduation gifts for students who have just completed their studies. It can be difficult choosing a graduation gift but I’ve found that most folk I know, usually have fond memories of the place where they studied, especially when it’s a town or city which has great architecture or a particular landmark.

I recently sold a couple of my St Andrews Harbour prints within a few days of each other. I know that one of them was purchased as a gift for a loved one who had just completed her studies at St Andrews. Although the scene isn’t of the university, it is very recognisable for anyone who has lived there.
Other university cities have outstanding architecture which I love to paint. Bath is full of incredible buildings and views. I have fond memories of my successes there with awards in The Bath Prize competition in 2010 and 2011. I came runner up with my painting of the Royal Crescent which has been published as a limited edition print.

Edinburgh has always been one of my favourite places to paint. Over the years I have built up a wide selection of paintings that capture different aspects of this grand Scottish city. Whether it’s the Grassmarket, Princes Street or the Royal Mile, there are plenty of views to remember Edinburgh with deep affection.

So whether it’s any of the Universities I’ve mentioned or Newcastle, Durham, London or York, I’m sure there’s something on my website that a hard working student will appreciate as a graduation gift.
