Grand Mosque Oman
Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque is the largest mosque in Oman, located in the capital city of Muscat. It takes on a different quality when the Grand Mosque at Night is seen in the evening all lit up. The warm golden glow from the dome is a beautiful contrast to the midnight blue Arabian sky.
I was saddened to hear of the passing away of Sultan Qaboos bin Said on Friday the 10th January. He had led Oman with great wisdom for almost 50 years. When he took over from his father, it was a nation of virtually no infrastructure, schooling or hospitals. Now it is a nation that has grown to great prosperity.
