A beach scene at Barka in Oman which probably hasn’t changed for thousands of years. Fishermen bring in the catch of the day on their fishing boats which is bought on the beach by locals.
In this painting is the view of the Gulf from Barka Beach. The fishermen are selling the catch of the day directly from their boats.
This scene was inspired by sketchbook watercolours painted on location.

Barka is located in the Southern region of Muscat. Barka Fort is unlike any other Fort in Oman. Visitors are able to look around the various room and watching platforms which provide excellent views of the surrounding areas and the ocean.
