St Mark's, Afternoon Sunlight, Venice Italy

I’ve love sitting in St Mark’s Square sketching the architecture and the people who congregate in a setting that is pure theatre.

The Artist's Wife, Venice Italy

Venice will always have a place in our hearts, the city of love and romance.

This painting of my wife Susan in St Mark's Square, Venice is one of my favourites.

The Duomo, Florence, Italy

The Duomo, a masterpiece of engineering, dominates any view of Florence’s skyline.

A small 7” x 5” watercolour painted from the Boboli Gardens was the inspiration for this larger watercolour.

The city was voted, according to a 2007 poll, the most desirable destination for tourists in the world.

The Pantheon, Rome

This print of The Pantheon in Rome is one of the oldest surviving buildings in Rome and was commissioned by Marcus Agrippa about the time of the Bible’s Book of Acts.

Agrippa’s inscription can be seen on the portico which always reminds me of Acts chapters 25-26 where the Apostle Paul is brought before King Agrippa to be tried.

Tuscany Dawn

This new print of Tuscany has been reproduced from an original watercolour which was inspired by my sketchbook studies painted on location in the Val d'Orcia region of Tuscany.

My studies captured the first light of dawn breaking through the early morning mist that hangs in the undulating landscape typical of Tuscany.

Tuscany, Italy

The views of Tuscany from San Gimignano are spectacular and sum up the very essence of the Tuscan landscape including rolling hills, cypress trees and vineyards.

Val d'Orcia, Tuscany Italy

I spent two consecutive mornings watching and painting the sun rising through the early morning mist to capture this iconic view in the Val d’Orcia, a territory near Siena in Tuscany.

Walking with God

The original watercolour painting was sold some time ago. It has now been reproduced and is available as a signed print.

The painting was inspired by sketchbook watercolours painted around the Italian city of Vicenza in the Veneto region of Italy.

"Walking with God" depicts a nun walking along the beautiful colonnade that takes you down the hill from Monte Berico, bathed in early morning sunlight.
