A Celebration of Art and Legacy: Upcoming Exhibition at The Blagdon Gallery
I’m delighted to announce my upcoming exhibition at The Blagdon Gallery, Milkhope Centre, which will showcase a collection of original paintings from my journey as an artist over the last 40 years. This exhibition will be particularly special, as it will also feature a retrospective of my father, Kenneth Reed’s, remarkable golf course paintings, honouring his legacy as one of the world’s leading golf artists.
The exhibition will launch with a preview evening on Thursday 10th April, from 5 – 8pm, offering an exclusive first look at the collection. It will then continue until Sunday 11th May, giving visitors the opportunity to immerse themselves in a diverse range of original artwork.
For me, this exhibition is a chance to reflect on my artistic journey—from my earliest works to my latest creations. Over the past four decades, I’ve been privileged to capture the beauty of landscapes, architecture, and life through my paintings, each one telling a story of its own. Whether it’s the streets of Newcastle, the rolling hills of Italy, or the atmospheric charm of the Northumberland coast, each piece is a milestone in my evolution as an artist.
Equally important is the retrospective of my father’s golf course paintings. Kenneth Reed dedicated much of his life to painting the world’s most iconic golf courses, from Augusta and Pinehurst to Royal Troon and St Andrews. His work was admired by golf legends, commissioned by prestigious clubs, and continues to be celebrated as some of the finest in the field. Since his passing in December 2023, I have felt an even greater responsibility to preserve and share his artistic legacy, and this exhibition will be a tribute to his immense talent and influence.
This event will be a wonderful opportunity to bring together collectors, art lovers, and friends—whether you have been following my work for years or are discovering it for the first time. If you have an appreciation for art, history, and the stories that paintings can tell, I would love for you to join me at The Blagdon Gallery this April and May.
