On Friday 19th May I’ll be having my first solo exhibition outside of our Gallery in Ponteland since before COVID. The venue is Ponteland Memorial Hall. Ponteland Memorial and Ex-Serviceman’s Hall first opened in 1922 as a memorial for the fallen soldiers of WW1. Today the hall operates as a registered charitable Incorporated Organisation and is funded predominately through its hire as a venue for weddings, parties, markets, sports activities and awards nights.
It’s hoped that my first exhibition there could be the first of many annual exhibitions at this venue. 20% of all sales will go to the Memorial Hall for its future renovation.
The exhibition will feature many new paintings including local cityscapes and landscapes as well as watercolours from recent trips to Scotland.
Also on view will be new works inspired by many overseas trips to Italy and Oman.
Other subjects on display will be some unique works using oil paints with 22 carat gold leaf. I’ll also be showing some of my portraits in oils too.
The Exhibition preview evening starts at 6 – 8pm on Friday 19th. It then continues 9:30am – 5pm on Saturday.
The last day is Sunday 21st 10am – 4pm.
